The traditional Christmas tree in Costa Rica is a big evergreen branch, a small cypress tree, or dried coffee branches. The "tree" is decorated with white paint and brightly colored strips of paper. Lights and small colored balls, a variety of small figures and lace are also used to adorn the greenery. A gold star is placed on top as a symbol of the Star of Bethlehem.

Easter also is a time of celebration when families and friends get together for parties and festivities. It is a time of reflection, celebration and a renewal of spirit.

Poker parties have become an entertaining pastime for tourists. Several event sites and tour packages contain information about these parties. They are held all over Costa Rica depending on the number of players.

Fishing parties are another entertainment available in Costa Rica. Many of the fishing tours can be reserved for private parties.

So, whatever your party style there is always something waiting for you in Costa Rica.
